Couldn’t stop watching Desus last week and now I can barely sit through an episode with this guy. What gives CC?
His interviews could be done just as easily by sending each GOP candidate a questionnaire and having an AI read the responses. There’s literally no back and forth, no rebuttals, no personality. I’ve only watched the Haley and Macie ones, but at this point it seems like they’re just giving these republicans a platform to spew half truths and lies. It’s honestly disappointing.
I feel the opposite. I felt like Desus didn’t have many high points, but I like CtG–but I don’t want him as host.
Desus is fun but pretty niche. I really liked him but I get how bodega boy might not be all that accessible to the average American. Charlemagne on the other hand, what is he doing there? He is a miserable morning show dude. I’ve never even heard him attempt to say funny never yet smile. There are so many more obvious choices. What made them bring him in I’ll never understand.
Dude is funny on radio. Maybe the issue is the format?
Yeah, these have been jokes. Glad I’m not the only one feeling that way. Sometimes hard to tell how crazy people like it these days, had to come here to double-check if I’d have to drop the show.
CTG was the FIRST person I couldn’t stand from all the guest hosts.
Yeah, he’s terrible in this format. He seems like he’s struggling to read the teleprompter.
He’s fine when he’s just free wheeling on the radio but this just isn’t for him. His other talk show from a couple of years ago was also unwatchable.
On a side note…why aren’t these episodes on YouTube TV? Mine didn’t record them.
