Not to mention, even though they both had rough childhoods/families, Bojack ended up a super rich celebrity with a lot of opportunity. He had so many chances to do the right thing, and he kept getting it wrong despite all his privilege. Eleanor had it somewhat rough into adulthood and never made it in life to the point where she was comfortable enough to grow and change her perspective. That’s why, once she hit the afterlife and had all her needs met, she slowly became a better person and worked her ass off.
