It seems that in every fight, both comics and show, he lets his emotions get the better of him and then, respectfully, has his ass handed to him.

It just seems unlikely considering he has lived for over a thousand years.

    I don’t think he’s bad at strategizing. He was (is) the leader of the guardians of the globe and it’s not just because he’s strong. He gets his ass handed to him because he’s simply not built like a viltrumite.

      I also like to think he was just acting in the flashback.

      Like he wasn’t even Abraham Lincoln, just some dude cosplaying for a minute.

      And maybe he takes extra risks because he knows he’s immortal and he’ll survive anyway
