Personally I give each character a face, either from a person I know who matches their personality or a celebrity that fits the description, even though sometimes it can be really annoying if the author gives more details on the persons appearance and my character doesn’t fit that lol. I’m very curious as to what other people do.

My brain makes them a combination of people I’ve seen and celebrities based off of their personality. I don’t care how well they describe the way they look, my brain visualize them the way it . Sometimes the author’s description and my brain will align with looks. It’s the same way with the scene descriptions, my brain just builds its own surroundings. My brain also will name a character whatever it feels; Character’s name-Jason, My Brain-Josh. Character-Britney, My brain- Amanda🤷🏽‍♀️ I think it’s why I struggle with too many characters and fantasy reading. It becomes a jumbled mess.
