Just like movies with books it doesnt take me long to know if ill enjoy it or not, 30 pages into Deeply odd and I was not feeling it, Is Odd Thomas delusional and lives in this make up world that only exist in his mind, that is the vibe i was getting, anyways, I got this book at the library so im thinking about returning it, in the mean time im 10 pages into Long road to mercy by Baldacci and its okay not great, just incase I also have Natchez Burning by Illes, Im familiar with his work and most of his book i enjoyed.
The series, like most, makes a lot more sense if you start at the beginning.
What you’re describing is like jumping into Harry Potter during The Order of the Phoenix and then complaining about the books having magic in them.
Koontz only wrote 3 series books, this is one of them, prior to getting this book at my library I had no idea it was series, with that said, im returning this book lol.
