I’ll be honest… this episode felt like a let down. Don’t get me wrong, I loved the adaptation of the Mark/Debbie downer drama and how Debbie became more and more snappy during work. I also loved the adaptation of the sea kingdom story. But a lot of it just felt like meandering to me. Oop, we gotta introduce Ben Schwartz’s character! Also, the Rex Splode drama! The drama felt more forced than usual.
Also, I’m really not on board with Mark and Amber’s relationship, though most of that could be chalked up on how their relationship is written last season. It just felt too shmaltzy for me. We don’t even get Angstrom action until the very last minute.
Still gonna watch the next episode, though.
