I have two. The Ritual and Drowning.

The Ritual is pure smut. 61 chapters and every one contains a graphic, demeaning sex scene. I’m convinced the author was an adult film screenwriter and decided to try their hand at writing a novel. There isn’t a single likable character in this book.

Drowning isn’t a great work of literature. I felt that the characters were very two-dimensional. I hated how naive the author made the protagonist. It made me have a lack of sympathy for her. The ending was series finale of Dexter bad.

I have several, and almost all of them are the hyped YA novels that I was “missing” out on. I recently got back into reading. These are the ones I can remember offhand. I no longer listen to Booktok.

The Cruel Prince. Booktok wouldn’t shut up about this “enemies to lover” book.

Kingdome of the Wicked. Another Booktok reccomendation. DNF

Hooked. The spicy one for dark romance. Finished it out of spite and gave it to a friend. Another BookTok reccomendation.

Haunting Adeline. Booktok reccomendation. Zade’s pov is so cringeworthy I think I took psych damage reading it.

Omen of Ice. Got this through Owlcrate. DNF.

    A Discovery of Witches. DNF.

I literally almost stopped reading again because these were my introductions back into the reading scene.

I’m glad that someone else didn’t like The Cruel Prince, I ended up getting so frustrated with it that I stopped reading half way though and haven’t looked at it since.

A Discovery of Witches was basically academic porn and that’s it. I read it purely for that reason 🤣
