I have two. The Ritual and Drowning.

The Ritual is pure smut. 61 chapters and every one contains a graphic, demeaning sex scene. I’m convinced the author was an adult film screenwriter and decided to try their hand at writing a novel. There isn’t a single likable character in this book.

Drowning isn’t a great work of literature. I felt that the characters were very two-dimensional. I hated how naive the author made the protagonist. It made me have a lack of sympathy for her. The ending was series finale of Dexter bad.

As countless people have said, it makes complete contextual sense from the POV of the character. It is meant to come across as weird because that’s how the character views it

I still think in the context of just about any kind, this is not well written or something most authors of any kind, other than really bad porn would think this is writing at its best or even good. It comes across as “ instead of penis or cock or dick or any other word for the male appendage, I should find something so ridiculous that everyone will like it because they don’t know better”. I find that if one person agrees with something that is so outrageous as to be silly, others will think that it is really smart and different.
