I have two. The Ritual and Drowning.

The Ritual is pure smut. 61 chapters and every one contains a graphic, demeaning sex scene. I’m convinced the author was an adult film screenwriter and decided to try their hand at writing a novel. There isn’t a single likable character in this book.

Drowning isn’t a great work of literature. I felt that the characters were very two-dimensional. I hated how naive the author made the protagonist. It made me have a lack of sympathy for her. The ending was series finale of Dexter bad.

Prime Suspect by Steve Martini, if we’re including DNFs. I almost forgot I tried to read this book. DNF’d at about 100 pages cause it was just too boring. Also, I think it’s the second book in a series and I didn’t read the first. I just grabbed the book out of one of those little free library things outside someone’s home.

If we’re talking something that I did finish then I’d say either Things Have Gotten Worse Since We Last Spoke and Other Misfortunes by Eric LaRocca or The Frugal Wizard’s Handbook for Surviving Medieval England by Brandon Sanderson. Not a good year for long titles. Frugal Wizard was just very meh. I thought I was enjoying Things Have Gotten Worse but just felt unfulfilled by the end of each story.
