Maybe all that serving the Viltrum Empire stuff was cover and Nolan really went after the Guardians when Mark got powers because he knows how Immortal gets around teenage superheroes.
I guess the underlying point is that all supers are as hypercritical and as prone to their urges as non-supers, as we’ve been told quite a lot these past few years.
