From the beginning he always said I want to go to the US to help my family. She knew this the whole time. It’s unfair for her to act surprised about it. She has benefitted entirely from the relationship, as she can now live in the Dominican with residency. What has he received?
Why still together. Having a baby is crazy they do not get along and do not want the same things. They need to just breakup what does she get from him nothing at all.

Did they ever love each other? I don’t see it. To her, here was this hunky guy she could play with. To him, she was this rich blond American with big boobs. They were each using each other. He was a guy she could never get in New York who lived in a place she liked .She was a woman who was his way out to help his family. They didn’t share views on child rearing, religion, education level, interests, roles in the relationship, handling money. Nothing. They never should have gotten married. And if she is such a loving person, where is there any discussion of her seeing her son? Two selfish people who married the wrong people.
Why does it seem like everyone on this thread is coming to Yohan’s defense? Knowing what we know about Danielle, I cannot for the life of me imagine her saying that he can sit around and be a kept husband and she’ll float them financially. ALSO why is he going into the marriage as if she owes him anything??
She lied to him and promised him the American dream. He had dreams that She set him up for a huge disappointment. That’s why people are siding with Yohan. She said early on, That she was keeping the secret of not bringing him here from him. She never was honest about why she was staying in the DR. That’s what’s wrong.
That’s why I can’t really be mad at Yohan. The not being able to have a natural born baby comment was the only below the belt comment I think he has said to her. He knew there would be complications.
However beyond that, he has been 100% transparent with what he wanted and she was lying the whole time. Now shocked he’s upset with her.
Kinda reminds me of Anfisa, she was always upfront with her expectations of money and things she wanted/expected when she got with Jorge. Then Jorge acts shocked she expected those things.
I don’t disagree I think they’re both trying to use each other in ways and she led him to believe there was a chance to go to the US and I don’t blame him for wanting to be able to earn more but they need to just call it quits at this point it’s ridiculous

I don’t believe he is refusing to work out of laziness. It’s punishment for Danielle lying her ass to him and being outright selfish. If she’s gonna be selfish, so is he. That’s how I see this. And she is being SO SELFISH.
Usually people get married because they love each other.
Their life doesn’t look like poverty to me. Given how expensive New York is, they would be living in poverty with that same amount in the US. He has no skills, can’t speak English, has no understanding of basic living or business expenses. He’s not going to come here and have money or get a high paying job. The wealth gap is getting worse and he has no grasp of how the economy works.
They are both assholes. Yohan wants a green card, and Danielle wants a foreigner husband so she can run away from her financial problems in the US. If they aren’t going to get divorced, they deserve each other at this point
She’s a manipulator. He thought they were filming either 90 Fiancé or Before the 90 Days. She never told him how much debt she’s in, she never told him she could have gotten more money if she would’ve stayed teaching for one more year, she never told him her plan was to move and stay there, he thought they were going to move to NYC. Sure, we don’t see everything they talk about but I have a strong feeling they don’t actually talk about any of these issues because it’s all coming up now, after they’ve been together for a year and a half or something.
Now he’s no saint. He went after an older American woman because he thought she would take care of him and thought she’s rich. He’s incredibly ignorant and naive. Which, at 30 something is inexcusable. Dude needs to grow up. They’re both awful and deserve what they’re getting.

Okay, but by the same token, Danielle clearly blew up her life in New York, needed an easy escape, and saw the Dominican Republic as an opportunity for her to just lay on a beach and be taken care of by someone, and she’s furious that Yohan won’t just do that.
