I’m specifically on the episode of TOW where Drascilla runs into the street. Deavan & her mom are laying into Jihoon until he cries (oh & now her moms saying “if you kill my granddaughter, I’ll kill you” jfc).

my question is…am I crazy? because to me it seemed like it was 10000% Deavan & her mom’s fault for not watching the kid. Jihoon’s new to being a dad, and I didn’t see anyone go “here, I need you to watch Drascilla & don’t let her wander off.” please correct me if I missed something though, I’m genuinely confused by all this.

idk what to make of this couple, Jihoon seems sweet but seems like he’s not doing a great job of explaining that he has a criminal record & doesn’t have the education/skills/whatever to secure a job where he can comfortably support a 4 person household. it seems like Deavan has unreasonable expectations of him & is continually getting upset at him. he doesn’t seem to get super defensive or anything, he seems genuinely disappointed in himself. idk, a grown man breaking down and crying this many times makes me wonder if she’s just continually berating him when the cameras aren’t there. also don’t get Deavan’s issues with Jihoon’s mom…she seems like she’s handling all this pretty well?? Deavan’s saying she’s being treated like a “dimwit” by her for her showing Deavan how to slice a carrot more thin. I’m biased bc I think she was doing a bad job with the carrot lmao.

anyway, back to my original point…what the hell was going on with Drascilla running off/who was at fault? I’m not a huge fan of the leashes for kids thing, but I think it might’ve been appropriate here. if either of them is carrying the baby, they can’t grab Drascilla as easily, and since they’re in another country if a stranger yelled to alert Deavan or yelled at Drascilla to stop, neither of them would understand it.

You don’t need to watch Deaven’s Mom’s YT video, where she, Charlie style from, It’s Always Sunny scratches a map on a chalkboard to convince the public that it was Jihoon’s fault that he almost, “killed Drascilla.” It’s CRAZY.
