BPO never had any problems with Gaki so whatever the reason for the hiatus has to do with NTV.
My personal speculation is that NTV just doesn’t want to spend the money. The No Laughing Batsus are not cheap to produce and take months in advance to prepare. You have to secure multiple locations, create interior sets/wardrobe, write all the skits, secure talent and extras, do rehearsals, shoot all the taped segments (such as Jimmy bits), etc, all before the actual day of principal photography. There are hundreds of staff working behind the scenes. It’s a huge logistical and coordination challenge.
