When they were sitting down, Danielle said she wanted 75000 pesos for half the things in the house. Assuming that’s rent + utilities, 75000 pesos to USD is 1320. $2640 for an apartment down there seems a little… excessive?

I can’t even get on board with this. He expressed to her multiple times he couldn’t / didn’t want to pay that much for rent. She responded by saying he had better find a new wife is he thinks he’s going to live for free. Taking away everything else, no sane person would force their partner to live somewhere they had ALREADY SAID they would not pay that much for. Her still renting that place meant she was on her own for the most part so she should live with that.

Could be. Honestly many people are that way but they are also ok with cheaper rent and living expenses bc they simply don’t want to work more or look for a better job, learn new skills etc. From what I saw Danielle was the one insisting on a luxury apartment not Yohan. Also, you should know and understand your partner’s goals, motivations, and living preferences (or “lack” thereof) prior to a legal marriage.

He’s a Hanky Sanky. His JOB is to lure American women who are on vacation with their pene grande and promises of eternal love. He likely worked at a resort where American women frequent as a server or towel boy. So yes, he’s likely VERY lazy since he’s used to the jaded American women giving and promising the world while on their 1 week vacation. Jamaica and DR seem to be the origins and breeding grounds for these Hanky Sankys.
