My fiancés main reason for disliking her is the lack of understanding for Dominican culture.
DR is a 3rd world country and a lot of people’s priority is to get to the US to work and send money back. Danielle dangled citezenship in front of Yohan get him. He never wanted to stay in DR.
So now he’s married to an American living in DR. She makes money online and he’s stuck with the same limited opportunities.
They both suck but I do have sympathy for Yohan.
f she can work online, why can’t he? He doesn’t want any job, he flat out refuses to make any contribution to their rent or rental car because he only wants to own a house and car for status. They would probably never own a house in the US either. I have zero sympathy for him, he just wants to sit back and be taken care of by a well off American, which he thought Danielle was.
I’m not sure I understand calling “The DR priority is to get to the US” is considered culture. Culture is tradition and customary behavior. Tying to scam Americans to achieve THEIR priority of getting to the US is exactly that……a SCAM. Culture? Not in the slightest. He’s what’s called called a Hanky Sanky. That’s not a culture.
