I’ve wanted to read the comics since i finished the first season but i’m worried it will ruin the experince of the show, what do you think?
I wouldn’t say ruins, but it definitely 100% changes. It kinda makes you appreciate the show more in a way. But having that raw first reaction to the events of Invincible is an incredible feeling. I’d recommend doing so if you’re really interested, but there is no right or wrong answer.

I’ve been getting excited to see how they change and improve storylines from the comics. It’s been really fun so far.
Also I’m watching this show with my friend who hasn’t read the comics, so I get to still vicariously experience shock through her
No. I had the same worries but knowing what happens in the comics might’ve actually gotten me more excited to see it all animated. I don’t regret reading them

i demolished the entire omnibus of the comics in a few weeks after finishing the first season of the show when it came out and it not only enhanced my enjoyment of the first season on rewatches it definitely has made season 2 much more fun as i anticipate the fun turns that i know are coming
Not only that, it’s great to see how it changes. For example, the issue where Mark has to go to Atlantis like episode 2 is personally one of my least favourite issues because it accomplishes nothing and is just filler. The show changed it a lot and made it a much more meaningful encounter tying into Marks growth as a character
I was worried about this as well. I started the comics and honestly love them. They change quite a few things in the show so it’s not beat for beat and it will take quite a while for the show to cover the whole story.

Not at all, I recently just started picking up the Ultimate Edition and found it makes watching the show more exciting. Although the general structure in the comics is similar or the same as the show, certain things happen at different points, the pacing is different, and the comic has some events that aren’t in the show.
Absolutely not, it’s like watching anime after reading the manga, or a project has a adaptation that’s 95% accurate to the source material. It’s fun to watch those things you’ve seen get adapted to a new medium almost word to word, but also sometimes, to see what gets changed for the new medium.
For me it made the experience of watching the show better
Its a personal thing I think.for me I never read the comics and watched season 1, then I read both compendium 1 and 2 before season 2 and it hasn’t ruined anything but you just expect more when you know what’s coming

It won’t ruin the experience, and only make you more excited for the cooler stuff. However you will know what you’re waiting for and you may be impatient for some of it. Great comic though
It’s been fun comparing and contrasting the comic to the tv show. I haven’t felt my experience is ruined just because I know what happens.
I think it truly depends on if you like comic books or not. I’m not an avid comic consumer, but I do read a few different types of print media. If you like comics or manga or graphic novels, then you’re probably going to enjoy the comic and just be excited to see certain moments animated.
