First off - I have a lot of respect for people who speak multiple languages. My husband is first generation polish and that is so hard to learn!

People have said that Danielle’s Spanish isn’t that great. Those who are fluent Spanish speakers, how are Ashley’s skills?

Ashely’s Spanish is fine. We don’t know how long she’s been speaking it, I think. She has more vocabulary and fluency than Danielle. She just needs to review verb tenses for better accuracy. If she fully immersed herself in a Spanish-speaking place she’d improve quickly (unlike Danielle who sounds exactly the same despite having lived in DR)

Yes, I think Ashley’s Spanish is better than Danielle’s and she is also more persistent in finding ways to explain herself when she doesn’t know a word. But you also make a good point about Danielle’s Spanish not improving AT ALL despite living in a Spanish speaking country
