I see a lot of people hating on Eve’s dad, and rightfully so. He’s bigoted, aggressive and extremely dismissive of Eve’s powers and feelings. He also is just an overall dick….BUT he did make a point when he said this. Eve sometimes rushes to help without fully understand the context of situation since her powers are so busted and wide-ranging. So far that hasn’t been a huge issue, at least that we’ve seen on screen, but last week’s episode showed us the negative repercussions of her actions. So as it stands, Eve’s dad is wrong 99% of the time, but right on this rare instance. What do y’all think?

People are so quick to dismiss everything Eve’s dad says because he is so unlikable and a terrible father. Eve’s dad honestly doesn’t do much wrong at the core, he wants a safe life for the daughter he thought he already lost once, and doesn’t want her to be a superhero, which is a very FAIR sentiment considering what has happened to heroes as of late (Remember the Guardians of the Globe?). He genuinely cares for Eve, and his family, and is never shown to be evil in the slightest.
His issue is that he filters all this through a bitter misogynistic world view, making him a stubborn husband and a terrible father.
