They can always call the local wildlife services (DENR Field offices) to surrender it for rehabilitation, they can ask their local barangay if they need help contacting the services.
Now that it is brought up to their attention how this is upsetting, hopefully, they use the internet to actually research on what to do with the little monkey
It should, I am from the Philippines, that is what they should have done the moment they found the monkey. It is actually advised to surrender these animals to give them a chance of survival or being introduced again to the wild
