    No, it really isn’t very profitable. There are huge fixed expenses. Rent, rules about ratios for teachers to children, insurance, crazy liability. Teachers need to be paid so they can also live reasonably in the area. My 2 kids go to a non profit daycare in Seattle part time for over 4k. Childcare in this county is in crisis and it’s not bc providers are raking it in. There are not enough daycare slots per child—more would open if it made you rich.
