I have watched all of ted lasso a long time ago now but this has always had me wondering why has Roy’s Voice changed? He went from sounding similar to Brett Goldsteins normal voice to a more deep voice that was used from then on. So what happened?

It’s a choice by the actor…look at Jensen Ackles in Supernatural…listen to his voice in Season 1 then go to like season 6 and listen…they realize what works and lean into it
Brett says Roy’s voice sounded like that because he was constantly repressing so many emotions that he could barely talk.
Probably found what works for him. The chick who plays Rosa in Brooklyn 99 had a crazy voice change over the first couple seasons

I didn’t even notice lol, though he did start exaggerating the growl in S3.
You notice it way more when you start again close to the end. He’s like a completely different person.

Did it change? 😂 I only thought it was raspy and gruff and low to an extent that it sounded “put on” the entire time. Like it never sounded like a natural “real” voice to me and I found it very irritating.
We always laugh that in season one he sounds like Kermit the frog.
Because Roy Changed.
