She’s a national goddamned treasure, she’s way smarter than you are, and her style is in a grand comedy tradition.
You don’t have to like her, but good fucking god, I see more hatred for her than anyone who’s tried this gig, including all the old white guys everyone seems to think are better hosting, and I’m just kind of sick of people claiming to not like that shouty black lady because she’s too loud and one-note in her comedy, while being so damned loud & one-note in their kvetching about her.

I think it’s bc she specifically complained about SNL making her into a loud caricature then hosting TDS she does the same thing she complained about.

Seems like a valid criticism. Not everyone is going to like it, especially when TDS has had such low key hosts over the years. I personally think she’s funny but I don’t think it works for the show.

I’ve never liked Leslie Jones, and I have no interest in watching her on TDS.
I agree. I actually like Leslie Jones but her on The Daily Show is the kind of TV that makes me scroll through Instagram while Im watching and not really pay attention.
