Basically title. I have a friend who wants to watch an episode of bojack and I’m not sure which one to show her. She will probably only watch the one and won’t commit to the whole show so I want one thats a good representation of the whole show if possible. Any suggestions?
Say Anything
the one where the house falls in the ditch after the fracking
Downer ending, such a vivid trip of an episode.
The one I showed my boyfriend was the one where PB’s house sank into the ground because of fracking! Lots of silly celebrity jokes and political jokes.
Bojack hates the troops.
The first episode I ever watched was Underground and just the first half was enough for me to decide I needed to watch all of it. Just my experience but at this point I’ve probably rewatched it over 30 times :)
I don’t see anyone saying this but I’d say the final episode. It doesn’t really reveal anything that happens to the show and seeing each character at their best first you become attached to the character and want to see their development. I started the show after seeing some clips of that final episode so i I’m speaking from my experience.
S1E7 is a good representation of what the show is like without spoiling too much, there are better episodes out there but showing them that might spoiled the surprise, plus it left us on a cliffhanger that’s about Herb, and if they want to check out more they’ll stumble upon one of my favorite S1 episode, The Telescope
Anything between and including E1 - E77
the view from halfway down
The Telescope
Downer ending is probably the best mix between silly and sad
Bojack hates the troops
My Go to would be that episode where Bojack Sarah Lynn and Todd took a bunch of drugs trying to finish his novel, because it honestly made me die laughing
I’ve shown people Free Churro as a first episode and gotten them into the show. All depends on what would draw them individually in.
