I just finished like my 23rd rewatch and although BoJack has obviously done awful things, I can’t help but feel strangely happy for him after he goes to rehab and/or prison because of how much he’s grown since the beginning of the series??!?!! idk does this make sense
It makes sense, he did grow. He grew a lot.
I think in Season 6 he shows some of his best parts: he cares for his students at the start, he is sober and trying to be nice by the end, I think he’s not a dick to anyone at the last episode.
He still has ups and downs, tons of them. Like he keeps going out with Vince Wangoner which is one of the worst persons in the world. He’s not perfect, he’s not even good on my standards, but he’s improoving and that’s worth something.
RBW deserved the two additional seasons he wanted. It would have fleshed out his redemptive arc so much better.
