But I just realized in The View From Halfway Down all of them at the table are eating the last meals that they ate while they were alive. That’s why Crackerjack had the military food, Beatrice had the nursing home food, and Bojack had a plate full of pills. It was just my first time making that connection.

The only one who’s not eating her last meal is Sarah Lynn, who is eating fast food. I’ve heard that it might be because growing up, her mother had so much control over the meals she could or couldn’t have, so she is eating what she wanted to.

With Matthew Perry passing away, this episode makes me think that he really was the real life Bojack in many ways.

That’s also why Zach Braff is a waiter and serving the food, as he was served as food when he died.

Also, my favorite fun fact about this episode:

It is at exactly 17 minutes Bojack realizes he’s in the pool.

Please expand on this, Braff was eaten alive? I must’ve been high or drunk during that scene. Also what does 17 signify?

During the episode Underground, when Mr. Peanutbutter’s house falls in a sinkhole, Braff is killed and eaten for food.

Ahhh that makes sense! I always thought the meals were supposed to be representative of their characters’ arcs, sort of like their quintessential meals.
