Kyle is easily the best American fiance in the history of the show. He was the first one to actually show empathy and compassion for a fiance who left everything behind to be with them. The dude crafted their wedding to be more in line with her culture than his. And he literally left his state so she could be in an environment that was more friendly to Asians. No one else on the show would go to those lengths.
Avery definitely loved her man (was it Omar? It’s been so long). I was worried for her, the Islam religion and therefore attraction to Islamic men felt, from her, like a fetish or an obsession, kind of running away from something else and becoming fixated on this religion as a distraction.
She talked about being very promiscuous, and it felt like being so chaste and covering up absolved her (in her mind, I have know idea what the view of the religion is.) of that period of her life.
It just seemed like the wrong reason to abandon family and safety and live in a potentially dangerous environment. But, her husband definitely seems like he is treating her right, for which I am happy.
I completely agree!! Their love story is so genuine and sweet that if it were a scripted movie line, I’d turn it off because of how sickly sweet it is lmao. Literal life goals to have love like that
And viewers said they wouldn’t make it because of his filthy apartment, his bartending job, and his drunk mama. It proves people may come from shite circumstances and overcome them.
Fun fact, noon popped on here and basically said that was all staged. They used a friends apartment for shooting that, it wasn’t where he was living at the time that’s why they moved out so quick. Sadly his mom was not fake. :(

(Agree, but Avery also meets this description)
