The Ted Lasso story is over, let it be. Tell a different story now.
Have Hannah Waddingham return as Rebecca. Maybe bring back Keeley and Higgins, maybe. The more former cast members you include in main roles for a spinoff, the harder it is for the spinoff to find its own wings and take off.
Center the spinoff around AFC Richmond’s women’s team. Have some of the Ted Lasso cast make guest appearances every now and again (where it seems natural that they might make an appearance).
Yeah I like this, then just have the remaining main cast members of Ted Lasso show up for random throw-away cameos. Roy and Beard waiting outside Rebecca’s office for a meeting at the end of a scene. Trent in occasional press conferences. Dinner at Ola’s could be a normal thing with Sam showing up occasionally, or just a few of the boys in the background at another table… just to reinforce continuity of the series, you would only need like 3 of these scenes per season just to keep (most) people happy.
Season 4? No thank you. A spinoff? Yes please!

Yes! A spinoff would be great. Needs to be approached like a new show.
