Almost done with compendium 1 of invincible after watching the show and I started wondering how they were going to do a redemption arc for Nolan. In the comic the damage he does kills people but it’s more like collateral damage. In the show he brutalizes an entire train to make a point, he actively tries to kill as many people as possible. Show Nolan is passed the point of redemption, his redemption seems to be a very vital part of the comic so he will have to be redeemed but I don’t think it will work.

He can never be forgiven. But I think atonement/redemption/improvement is still very much possible.

Haven’t read ahead in the comic. I’d guess all the war-crime tier stuff done was a warning to get everyone on Earth preparing for the invasion. Talk is cheap, an actual demonstration of what they’ll be in for is much more likely to get the point across. All the acts were terrible, and unlikely to be forgiven, but it does the job.

If the Omni-man for the main universe in this show really is the bad guy, then he could have stuck around and single-handedly finished the job of subjugating Earth instead of eventually showing some feelings and flying off.
