I never hated her like a lot of people, it is pretty clear the writers heard the backlash and made very noticeable improvements to her relationship with Mark.

    !Mark and amber eventually break up on a mutual understanding. Amber meets a normal person who she likes and Mark can see that he can be with amber in a way that mark simply can’t and he ends up acknowledging that he loves eve and they get together. Ambers new boyfriend then beets her and Mark threatens to kill him.!<
