He has stronger, well, everything.
And since he fought in space, I think that there are some alien technologies that would allow to collect all of his blood from space.
Also, lots of the time when people get their internal organs exposed due to some trauma, they get a lot of germs and bacteria and dirt in them and it greatly decreased their chances of survival and, well, there is no dirt and germs and bacteria in space, so there is that.
And to be honest, seeing how that old guy turned off his life support, I don’t see him surviving that.
The ‘‘prime’’ Old guy turned his life support down to boost his powers, thats how Allen gets stronger, or so I have heard People say about it
