…so I guess it’s time to start another watch through again.
Does anyone else use this show (or have another show they watch) when they’re down in the dumps and need some comfort?
For me it’s always Bojack, it’s the only show I can watch when depressed because it reminds me of where I came from and that I’m much better off now.
Also, who is everyone’s favorite character? I mostly identify more with Bojack himself, but Hollyhock is my favorite character.
In general, I prefer listening to certain types of music, to, for lack of a better term, “ride the wave” of the depression.
I was actually on my 3rd re-watch of the show (this time, for language improvement purposes) but I had to stop because depression has hit me really hard this time around.
And when I say hard, I mean “I’m actively looking up phone numbers of therapist offices” - levels of hard.
I get that I could gain some positives out of it, as you described, but I’m decently sure that I’d just get super attached to the depressive parts and then not crawl out of those holes, you know? Just meander around in even more intense misery. I’ll probably get back to it some day, but that day is not today.
And to answer the last part: Firstly, I’m honored you consider me your favorite (lol), I’ve heard that quite a bit on this sub. And secondly, my pick for favorite character is in constant flux but I probably relate mostly to Diane and Todd.
