In Episode 3 of Season 2, when Allen is attacked by the Viltrumites, he shows no efforts to fight back against them, rather just retorts to making snarky comments which makes him end up in a critical situation. Anything I’ve missed?

P.s. I haven’t read the comics and would prefer not getting spoilers if the reason requires it. Just tell me, it requires spoilers to explain and I’ll wait for the explanation in further episodes.

    Probably a couple reasons.

    1. He fears they may attack the floating station with his gf and a bunch of innocent people on it if he resists or even the collateral damage from their fight might affect it so he doesn’t want to risk it, and…

    2. And this is the real important part, as strong as Allen is, it’s made quite clear he’s no match for 1 Viltrumite fighter, nevermind three. It’s stated in the show that as strong as he was made, he can’t even beat 1 Viltrumite, at least of all the ones he’s fought in the past so it stands to be that he would have no chance at beating three at once. Maybe if he was fighting a lower ranked one by themselves he’d stand a chance, but no way vs three.

    He couldn’t beat a viltrumite in a 1v1 so 1v3 was hopeless. They were there to get information from him and he knew either way they’d kill him so better to just not give them what they want. Also didn’t want to risk having them attack the station behind him
