When I look it up online it seems like all the information is just what’s been shown in the show.

the shadow verse is in the comic but they never give any information as to what in it
It wasn’t elaborated on even in the comics. It is just an alternate dimension where there are probably unknown creatures lurking in the darkness.
I’m just gonna assume that there’s a reason Night Boy doesn’t stick there for long and that it’s probably just an endless void pocket dimension filled with flesh-eating lovecraftian things. Simple but terrifying.
