I am NOT looking forward to the absolutely brain dead takes that’ll pop up once this is animated. I just know I’m gonna see people unironically saying “it should’ve been me” or “Mark shouldn’t be a baby about it.” I’ve seen those takes before. It’s just gonna be even worse now.
What’s gonna suck is there isn’t going to be a good discussion either way. Because to me this is a really good scene about the realities of non-human morality. People are upset that another species don’t abide by human standards, which is fine.
