Quite honestly I can’t stand only a few books that I’ve read, recently The Awakening by Nora Roberts.

Holy crap, do I reallllyyyyy want my money back. I was bored. So. Bored. The magic system was subpar, the characters just….ew, everything was so, so boring. The MC is an idiot.

What book is a zero star read for you?

    Hated The Sun Also Rises.

    It’s a zero for me.

It seems Auden was wrong when he said, “Some books are undeservedly forgotten; none are undeservedly remembered.”

Tell that to the countless writers then and now who can’t help but remember the novel that changed the way they write.

You can dislike a book and still educate yourself of why it had gained its merit and relevance, and recognize that as something seperate, larger, and ultimately more meaningful than your own opinion. I have classics I dislike too; but me disliking it can’t challenge the fact that it’s a classic for a reason.
