Quite honestly I can’t stand only a few books that I’ve read, recently The Awakening by Nora Roberts.

Holy crap, do I reallllyyyyy want my money back. I was bored. So. Bored. The magic system was subpar, the characters just….ew, everything was so, so boring. The MC is an idiot.

What book is a zero star read for you?

Dude that book sucked so fucking bad. The first page is “This story about this woman but let me tell you about me first.”

Whoa, really? I’ve finally scrolled down far enough that I’ve seen a lot of titles I’ve recently listened to on audiobook, and this one I’d give a 5/10. It wasn’t excellent by any means, and I wouldn’t recommend it to anybody, but I don’t regret reading it. Why do you hate it so?

I just finished the audiobook too, and have a similar assessment. I think I liked the idea of the story more than the actual book.

This! I was shocked when I kept hearing about how everyone thought the “twist” was so good when it was pretty much given away right at the beginning of the book! That’s honestly the main reason why I actually finished it. I figured well, if they’re giving that up right away it’s gotta be a misdirect… nope! That’s just what it was. And how did no one >!at the mental hospital think to give a world famous artist who hasn’t spoken and is apparently traumatized some freaking paints and canvases and see if maybe that sparks a breakthrough!? Seems pretty damn obvious.!< I even subjected myself to the audiobook twice just to really make sure I didn’t miss anything.
