Quite honestly I can’t stand only a few books that I’ve read, recently The Awakening by Nora Roberts.
Holy crap, do I reallllyyyyy want my money back. I was bored. So. Bored. The magic system was subpar, the characters just….ew, everything was so, so boring. The MC is an idiot.
What book is a zero star read for you?
The eyes of the dragon by Stephen King. What an awkward, uninspired and flat out boring read. Honestly, it’s kind of amazing how an author famous for writing horror stories somehow managed to write a fantasy novel with zero suspense. He even keeps spoiling the few plot twists before they happen. I understand it’s a fairly old book, but there were plenty of great fantasy novels in the 80s, so that’s no excuse.
