I know this concept has probably been posted to death at this point but after another watch through I’m prettyy convinced of (at least) the characters below. I’m looking forward to another run through to see if I can find any more confirming Easter eggs.
Ted - Dorothy - goes back to Kansas after the adventure - gives ‘no place like home’ speech at last game
Beard - Toto - gets out of the plane before it heads back to Kansas just like Toto jumps out of the hot air balloon basket
Jamie - scarecrow - needs to find a brain
Roy - Tin man - needs to find a heart
Rebecca - cowardly lion - practices in the mirror to act like a lion to feel big and confident
Dr Sharon - the wizard
May (who has a wizard of oz pinball machine in her pub) - Mayor [‘May’or] of the munchkin city (Richmond)
Three bar patrons - lollipop guild
Rupert - wicked witch of the west (wicket witch of WEST ham)
Keely - Glinda the good witch of the north
I’m thinking…. Higgins as the wizard and Rebecca as Glinda - she tries to make dreams come true, especially for Keeley the Richmond AFC fans who shout wanker at Ted are Rupert’s (wicked witch) flying monkeys. Is Ted’s wife Auntie Em who he has to leave before he appreciated how much she means to him? Plus… Beard as Toto is the best fan theory ever #fact
