What aspects of the authors’ previous works captivated your enjoyment? Personally, my three chosen authors are Nicholas Sparks, as we all crave romance in our lives; Rick Riordan, whose books rekindle the youthful enthusiasm within me; and lastly, Fredrik Backman, whom I consider the finest realistic fiction author.

    I’m gonna say Christie, Wodehouse and LeGuin. Christie and Wodehouse for sheer volume of work coziness and re-readability. LeGuin for her amazing world-building.

    All write funny, engaging, thoughtful fantasy/alternate universe novels. All are authors whose books I but without any thought at this point. I know their books will be great.

    Neil Gaiman, Jane Austen, Edgar Allen Poe.

    I know it’s kind of an eclectic mix but I could be very happy with just those three authors. That way I get my whimsical fantasy, my romantic comedy, my creepy tales and even some poetry.

    Patrick O’Brien Cormac McCarthy Leo Tolstoy

    Practically impossible but those three have some of my favorite books of all time and they have decent amounts of books to keep me interested. O’Brien for the action, history and adventure, plus two characters who are timeless. McCarthy for the prose. Tolstoy for the epic, timeless studies of the human soul.
