I am trying so hard to avoid DNF this. I already set it aside and returned back. I am about 65% through according to kindle. The Arthurian nature of it and the bits of magic in the beginning really pulled me in, particularly the scene with the old woman and the boatman. Then it slowly got less interesting. Now I am at Part III, Gawain’s First Reverie.

Worth finishing?

This is my first Ishiguro book. I have seen some say it is their least favorite of his. What should I move to next either way, if I were to explore more of his writing?

The Remains of the Day and/or An Artist of the Floating World.

Both great novels with great prose – he won the Nobel for a reason.
