Overall thoughts and opinions about books like this?
It took me quite a while to finish and I definitely had to put it down several times, I saw a review call it “depressing yet beautiful” and I guess that’s the only thing that comes to mind, so many ups and downs in the story.
I finally finished it this morning and i’m feeling so sad!! But I guess that’s the point huh?
this book really resonated with me. it’s heavy and emotional, but it’s a powerful and important read. i appreciate stories that tackle tough topics and make me think. if you’re into challenging reads, i’d also recommend checking out a few others like all the ugly and wonderful things and my absolute darling.
