Tell her it’s witty show about Hollywood full of happy jokes and animal puns and what not. Watch season, she likes it, she gets hooked in, boom! Your mum is a BoJack fan

that’s what happened to me. i saw dianne and pb fight on the peninsula and i was like oooohh i’ve gotta see more. that was a month or three ago and i’ve seen it like 10 times over by now, at least.

Try that, or if that doesn’t work, start telling her how great you think the show is but then cut yourself off halfway and insist that you think she won’t get it because she is too old. She will want to prove you wrong.

From my experince Bojacks not a show you can recommend to people, they have to discover it themselfs usually because a scene resonates with them or something else. Bojacks not for everyone and everytime I try to recommend this show usually people get a few episodes deep and bail because it’s too dark and depressing for them.
I’d hire a character actor to purchase something behind your mother, revealing a major discount on her Netflix (contingent on the successful viewing of this show).

Forcing people to watch things you like only leads to disappointment. If she wants to watch it, she will.
