So remember when Todd traded places with the Cordovian Prince? And he said tensions were high between the Cords and the Ovians and basically he gave the go to that general that said ‘god help us all’? That means that the war that started was because of him. The innocent people Diane was taking care of were in that mess because of Todd being a good. Like Kinko could have possibly not orphaned, let alone killed, had Todd not switched places with the Prince.

I love this show, have seen it probably several dozen times from start to finish. Loved it since S1. I feel so dumb for just now, almost a decade of loving and watching this show, connecting these dots lmao

Which would also mean Diane can be held partially responsible, since Todd was essentially begging her (and Bojack) to listen to him about what was going on, but they dismissed him.

Didn’t the swap happen after Diane returned from Cordovia?

I had the impression that things were already pretty bad before Todd was swapped, hence the actual Prince trying so hard to get out of his duties.

On my rewatching it seems like Todd doesn’t switch places till after Season 1, he does in Hank After Dark (season 2), after Diane already gets the offer from Sebastian St. Clair at the end of Season 1.

So he definitely made it worse but it likely isn’t his fault.

In season 1 Diane name drops a bunch of real world countries that are struggling when talking to PB about it.

It isn’t until season 2 that they introduce the made up land of Cordovia for the plot
