i forget the exact line his stepdad uses, but remember, Todd is white. being the exception to the “your actions have consequences” rule is kinda the whole point, no? if Todd were human but not a white man, his whole storyline would literally be impossible
I’ve seen stuff about that reasoning before but I don’t really get it tbh. There were multiple other characters who were also white men who were taken much more seriously, and characters like Mr Peanutbutter who aren’t even human but still have storylines that are mostly unserious and without any real consequences. It kind of just feels like an excuse to not give Todd any depth
