I wasn’t sure about the two host format when it was Leslie and Jordan, but Desi and Jordan was great. They were really in sync with each other and it just worked. Hope there’s more of this (with the regular correspondents).

At one point during the war on Xmas segment (when the one guy started rambling about all the corporations) I legit blurted to myself gleefully “Aw mom and dad!”

I thought at first they seriously just gave off these like big cool parent vibes. But no, not just “please adopt me” vibes either, even better.

It’s like together they radiate “spiritual parents to an old-soul-but-naive nyc transplant comedian with potential under 30” vibes? You know, take someone under their wing. Idk. Like for example: Maybe invite you for family dinner at their apartment and lowkey roast the fuck out of you but see you can hang. So then they insist you’re coming along to Montauk for Labor Day and that now both of them are your IRL emergency contacts. They’re the only ones at last call when you finally get your shot at open mic and sweetly heckle you. But godforbid if you call drunk crying bc BOTH parents will roll up creepily fast and (verbally) abuse the living shit out of the douche who hurt your feelings, then drag you out of that sad midtown frat bar and over to a real dive that only plays soundgarden (because Craig the bartender only likes soundgarden) and it smells like wet felt and Marlboro reds and they all give you picklebacks to stop the tears until 5:30 am on a Thursday.

Those kinda parents. If that makes sense

ugh… I’m just glad that episode is over. Those 2 are so bad that even when they get a great guest (which most of them avoid doing), they cut him short.
