The main character getting the shit beat out of him. The side characters fending for their life trying to survive until the strong MC shows up. The armor and clothes progressively getting more and more fucked up. This show reminds me of DBZ, especially after that last episode. The father/son dynamic from this episode completely took me back to the Saiyan and the Cell saga from Dragonball. I will give extra props to invivible, as I think the air combat/fights are handled a lot more solid in this show than Dragonball. I love how every punch and hit has a weight to it and an intent behind it

Totally agree! Invincible definitely nails the intense, high-stakes battles and character dynamics that made early DBZ so iconic. The visceral action and character depth in Invincible sets it apart, giving it a fresh and compelling edge. Both shows are epic in their own right, but Invincible brings a new level of intensity to the table.
