Was able to defeat such an old viltrumite? I thought they got stronger, faster, and tougher as they got older, and she looks way older than him, especially since her aging would be slowed?

    This is why “they’re as strong as they need to be for the plot” just doesn’t work, because it creates big inconsistencies as these. Mark should’ve not been able to borderline beat Thula, someone as old an skillful as Nolan. That’s actually why I thought they rejuvinated that random viltrumite, so it’s more believable he doesn’t get pummeled by him, but now it’s worse lmao

      Without spoiling the comic, this is exactly the problem with a certain fight against a really strong viltrumite later on. I think they’re trying to rectify that by making mark‘s baseline strength a lot higher, instead it’s his mentality that holds him back. Imo it’s a good change that aligns with Mark’s character growth throughout the series.
