Nah the Simmons and Yeun carried the episode imo

I know exactly what you mean and had the same thought, as if they couldn’t record all the lines and used an AI model. It was totally fine later in the episode but those first lines were rough (whether they were ai or not)

Nobody in the episode discussion mentioned it, so I assumed it was me just being overly scared of companies using ai to cut costs.

And it took me out of the scene a little, thankfully Invinicible‘s lines all hit really well, but still.

It didn’t feel AI-y, but I agree that the early couple scenes felt a little too neutral for what he was talking about. Basically until he started flying to speak to Mark my brain just chalked it up to some kind of fake-Nolan theory, not a fake-JK Simmons theory.
