Every joke now feels like it was the first draft.
Before they would spend months crafting storylines, refining jokes, now a “And… and then Cartman eats Kyle… and Kyle’s cereal!” or “Make sure Kathleen Kennedy is not under my bed” is considered top tier writing.
Before the jokes were topical and diverse. Now it’s the same “handyman know more, so funny” joke over and over for 40 minutes.
7 days to air has been the norm since Season 3 ish. The Panderverse (and the other specials too) were in production for well over a month
‘Over a month’. Jesus Christ are you joking? That’s nothing in terms of time to build a 40 minute special. No wonder it was shit.
That’s still more time than an average episode. What length of time would have been more reasonable for a double-length special, in your opinion?
