So Beatrice and Crackerjack perform together, Beatrice gets wrapped up in the rope or whatever it was and crackerjack ties it around his waist, jumps down the black door and takes Beatrice with him. This symbolizes that his death was the start of the end of her life, yes?

I agree, although that take might be slightly simplified given the consequences of Cracker Jack’s death (Honey’s lobotomy) and knowing the history behind Bojack’s family.
Do you mean symbolically? Cause the ribbon starts out a cream/beige color and once Crackerjack is out of view the black sludge climbs the ribbon and takes Beatrice, leaving the ribbon dyed black instead.
